Soundarya Ashwin Rajinikanth, the daughter of our superstar will direct his next film, titled Kochadayan. The film has story and screenplay by K.S.Ravikumar who pointed out that Kochadayan was not a re-packaging of Sultan the Warrior but a whole new film.
To be made in 3-D, Kochadayan will be released in August 2002 after which work on the delayed film, Rana, will commence in earnest.
Ravikumar said that Rana is a very exhausting film for the superstar as the role is very demanding. For that reason, the superstar has decided to work on a film that is physically less challenging.
